Now that we know who won't be starring as Tetsuo in "Akira" – namely, actor Ezra Miller, who shot down those rumors late last week – it's time to focus on who's still in the running.

A long list of actors testing for the "Akira" co-lead has emerged by way of The Hollywood Reporter, including folks from "Breaking Dawn," "Boardwalk Empire" and other films and shows you likely know and maybe love.

The names, according to THR, are "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" actor D.J. Cotrona, "Prometheus" co-star Logan Marshal Green, Toby Kebbell of "War Horse," "Breaking Dawn" actor Rami Malek, Michael Pitt of "Boardwalk Empire" and fellow HBO alum Richard Madden, who plays Robb Stark on "Game of Thrones." Paul Dano and Alden Ehrenreich are also supposedly retesting for the role.

By now, most of these actors – if not all of them – should have finished testing for the role, as screen tests were scheduled for this past Sunday (November 21) and today. Personally, I'm not wild about any of the names on this list — I do like Dano and Madden quite a bit, but maybe not for "Akira." For my money, I'll second Brian Phares' pick of Aaron Paul for Tetsuo.

Of the actors listed, who do you hope will win the coveted "Akira" role? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!
